It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVerne Williams Cunningham of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Scott Cunningham, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Lancaster (Lee), Scott Cunningham (Gina) and David Cunningham (Cristi); and her grandchildren, Chris Cunningham, Katie Statler, Kevin Cunningham, Joe Lancaster, Ben Lancaster, Savannah Cunningham and Colton Cunningham.

Donations in her memory can be appropriately directed to NC Baptist Men, to the Heritage Greens Staff Appreciation Fund (not tax deductible), or to the Alzheimer's Association.
