He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edwards and Iva Cumbee Edwards; and his sisters, Phyllis Keel and Pamela Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Dale Bryant Edwards; his children, MaRanda Edwards and Michael Lynn Edwards II; his siblings, Joseph Edwards and Brenda Tripp; and his grandchildren, Skylie, Elias, Phoenix and Ocean.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Bern Memorial Cemetery (1112 Chelsea Rd, New Bern, NC 28562).
