It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patti Simpson Crawford of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Simpson and Lela Simpson (Larry A. Crawford, Jr.); her son Craig Crawford; her brother Garrett Simpson; her grandson Matthew Holden; and her son-in-law John R. Holden.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Cynda Crawford of Gainesville, FL and Catherine Holden of Fuquay-Varina, NC; her grandson Jeffrey Holden (Kati) of Holly Springs, NC; her great grandchildren, Chandler and Reese Holden of Holly Springs, NC; her sister-in-law Aylette Crawford of Richmond, VA; and her sibling's children, Robin McAdam and Scott Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patti Crawford's name to Colonial Capital Humane Society in New Bern, NC or any animal shelter of choice.
