Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Garner Maners; and his siblings, Roddy Maners, Davie M. Maners and Mona E. Goodwin. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl (Leon Robbins) and Doug (Pat Maners); his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cam Stratton) and Tori (John Gritton); and his friend Winnie Fussell.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenleaf Memorial Park Pavilion (900 River Rd, New Bern, NC 28562).
