He is survived by: his parents, Victor Meekins and Catherine Deaton Meekins; his grandparents, Harry Preston Deaton and Blanche McNeely Deaton; his wives, Celia Corps and Celia Rollinson Meekins; his sister Mary Blanche Meekins Harwell (Boyce); his child Sudan Shrine Temple; Zambia, Navy Corps and Marine Corps.
