He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jimmy Dale Woodruff, Andrew Woodruff, Mandy Thompson and Joni Lowery; and his stepgranddaughter Kimberly Gillette Danielson.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Faye McFadden Woodruff; his daughter Tammy Woodruff Gillette (Gary); his grandchildren, Donyphn Ryan Foster (Leanna) of Midland and Chelsea Nicole Levy of Garner, NC; his stepgrandson Gary Gillette; his sister Judy Williamson of Memphis; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Levy and Silas Foster; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Cade Danielson, Chase Danielson and Tyler Gillette.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations be made to either St. Judes Children's Hospital or the New Bern Chapter Sons of the American Revolution.
