She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Senator Russell Edgar Weeks, Jr. and Helen Catherine Peterson Weeks; her husband James Michael Tolbert; her brother Russell Edgar Weeks III (Kelly Jean Weeks); her nieces, Magdalene Weeks, Sara Weeks, Jenna Weeks and Jamie Helton of Beckley, WV.; and her nephew Jonas Helton of Beckley.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Craven-Pamlico County Animal Services Center, 1639 Old Airport Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
