He was predeceased by: his mother Alice "Elizabeth" Brannon. He is survived by: his father Virgil Hollis Brannon, Sr.; his children, Shawn Brannon (Jennifer), Rebecca Spell (Myron) and Lorrie Gray (Scott); and his siblings, Stephen Brannon (Dorothy) and Nilah Flanders (Steve).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (400 New St, New Bern, NC 28560).
