She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lester and Nancy Younts Merrill. She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Branson (Chad) of Asheboro and Ashley Gallimore (Justin) of Thomasville; her sister Rhonda Kindley (David Henry) of Trinity; her grandchildren, Bella Branson, Coen Branson, Jaxon Gallimore and Jeryt Gallimore; and her caregivers, Joy "Gi" Kelly, Susan Lee and Tonya Denton.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Crestview Wesleyan Church (180 Crestview Church Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205).
