He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Parker and Gladys Parker; and his sister Betty Knaack. He is survived by: his wife Ann Parker of Newland; his children, Kelly Ledford (Kyle) of Burnsville, Jessica Parker of Newland, Toni Jones (Brandon) of Morganton and Heather McCloud of Newland; his grandchildren, Samantha Smiley (Ashley), Elizabeth Smiley (Lacey), Jeremy Smiley, Ashley Singleton (Layken), Shane Singleton, Tyler Jones, Carley McCloud, Cory McCloud, Miller Ledford, Noel, Bryson and Sklar Cook; his extended family, Heaven Nelson and Teresa Clark; his siblings, Clotta Smith, Lisa Turbyfill, Joe Parker and Tommy Parker; and his brother-in-law Randy Walters.
In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials can be made in David's name to Medi Home Hospice.
