She was predeceased by: her father William Cecil Carpenter; and her brothers, Phillip Dale Carpenter, Sherman Carpenter and Steve Carpenter. She is survived by: her mother Mary Ruth Crump Carpenter; her children, Nikki Buchanan (Frank Barlow) and Brandon Buchanan (Kayla) of Newland; her grandchildren, Samuel Konz, Lindsey Konz, Everly Buchanan, Norah Buchanan, Wyatt Buchanan, Harlan Buchanan and Clara Buchanan; her siblings, Norman Carpenter, Richard Carpenter, Betty Ann Byrd, Brenda Carpenter and Cindy Roland (Steve Thomas); and her sibling-in-law Mackie Jones. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
