He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Taylor and Annie Thompson Taylor; his wife Betty Taylor; and his sister Pauline Taylor. He is survived by: his brother Sterling Taylor, Jr. (Lynda) of Roan Mountain; his nieces, Darlene Birchfield, Cathy Lanford of Roan Mountain and Carrie Thompson of Morganton; and his nephew Richard Taylor of Roan Mountain.
A reception will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (296 Ash St, Newland, NC 28657).
