He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Jean Manning; his parents, Edith Gray Tripp Manning and Thessally Hector Manning; his brother Glenndall Manning; and his daughter-in-law Lori Manning.

He is survived by: his wife Belva Smith Manning; his children, Michelle Lynn Thompson (Alvin) of Olive Branch, MS, Bobby Ronald Manning Jr. (Katheryn) of Swansboro, Thomas Glenn Manning (Kathy) of Milton, FL, Morgan Smith (Paige) of Virginia Beach, VA and Edwin Smith of Newport; his grandchildren, Steven Manning, Cheryl Manning, Scott Manning, Emily Manning, Kyle Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Olivia Jean Thompson, Brittany Smith, Blaine Smith, Brandi Smith and Ty Smith; and his great grandchildren, Garrett Manning, Evan Thompson and Rosalie Thompson.
