He is survived by: his wife Laura Truelove of Raleigh; his children, Sarah "Bearah" Hackman (Josh) of Charlotte, Samantha "Pickle" King (Kris) of Apex and Douglas Wayne Martin, Jr. (Durham); his grandchildren, Mila, Drew and Kayleigh; his sisters, Wendy Martin-Johnson (Ron) of Fredericksburg, VA, Lisa Chambers Thomas of Durham, NC and Tammy Chambers Perry of Creedmoor, NC; his nephews, Bryce, Chase, Frederick and Bryson; his niece Brooklynn; and his close friend Steven Keith "Chili Dawg" Clifton. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
