We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2022, at the age of 97, Edith Willis Pittman of Newport, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Edith Bloodgood Willis; her former husband Chester A. Pittman, Sr.; and her caregiver Patricia Hawkins. She is survived by: her son Chester A. Pittman Jr. (Tina) of Newport; her grandchildren, Chester A. Pittman III (Kimberly) of Newport, Andrew C. Pittman (Krista Wilhelmsen) of Olney, IL and Candy Edwards of Wilmington; and her great grandchildren, Sydney Laine Pittman and Stephen Chet Pittman.
Due to ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at her gravesite at 11 a. m., on Friday, June 17th, at Bayview Cemetery in Morehead City.
