He was predeceased by : his mother Myrtle Evans; and his sister Elaine King. He is survived by : his father Peter Evans; his children, Leslie Strickland (Jonathan) of Milford, OH, Lizabeth Currie (Lee) of Lake Wiley, SC, Harris Lane Evans Jr. (Lori) of Norman, OK, Lincoln Brian Evans (Patsy) of Simpsonville, SC and Laird Evans (Monica) of Franklinton, NC; and his pets, Marjo and Hadrian. He is also survived by father to his 5 children and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128.
