He is survived by: his children, Michaela Baatz of Newport, NC and Jordan Phillips of Newport, NC; and his siblings, Sharon Murray of Newport, NC, Beverly Phillips of Newport, NC, Donna Barnes of Newport, NC, Jerry Phillips of Tennessee, Stuart Phillips of Mississippi and Steve Barnes of Newport, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
