It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Thomas Senter of Newport, North Carolina, born in Apex, North Carolina, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Senter and Minnie Senter; and his siblings, Gary Neil Senter and Mary Elaine Senter. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Mitchell (Shawn) of Youngsville, NC, James Leary Senter (Mary) of Youngsville, NC and Anthony Ray Senter (Michelle) of Rolesville, NC; and his siblings, Sue Hubbard of Newport, NC, Karen Senter of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Anette Bennett of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Darrell Senter of Garden City, SC and Leroy Senter of Cary, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Junction at 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.

“I am so sorry to hear this! Junior was a dear friend to me and to my 3 children when I moved to N.C. from New York, to take the Dance Director's position at Peace College. I met him when I purchased my first Volvo from the dealership- we soon had 4 Volvos! He fixed them all and made sure that my kids had reliable Volvos to drive as they got to be teenagers.I;ve often thought about this wonderful friend, and tried to locate him a few times... my sincerest condolences to his family!”
