He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Watson Knight and Lena Olivia Harris Knight; his wife Marilyn Knight; his sons, Lindsay Watson Knight and Harold Alex Knight; his daughter-in-law Becky Canady Knight; and his brothers, Matthew Knight, Daniel Vernon Knight and William Woodrow Knight.
He is survived by: his son Mark Alan Knight of Newport; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Knight of Newport; his sisters, Margaret Harris of Bath, NC and Eileen Massie Knight of Virginia; and his pet Duke. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and his sidekick.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the Gethsemane Memorial Park (700 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570).
