It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nila Mae (Breit) Winder of Newport, North Carolina, born in Pfeifer, Kansas, who passed away on June 16, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Breit and Pauline Breit. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Eugene Winder; her daughters, Kimberly Rice (George) of Newport and Amy Barmann (Kyle) of St. Joseph, MO; her siblings, Cora McCartney (Jerry) of Garden City, KS, Judy Strecker (Richard) of Wichita, KS and Ed Breit (Maryann) of Hays, KS; her grandchildren, Phillip Recob, Whitney Smith, Collin Jackson and Devon Jackson; and her great grandchildren, Kaiden Jackson and Waylon Smith.
