He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Shelton and James Shelton; and his former wife JoAnn Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his brother-in-law Kemp (Carol); and his children, Richard Jr. (Sharon), Robert (Carol) and Sue (Robert). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. 3 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
