He is survived by: his wife Helen Thornton Rice; his sons, Robert Jacob Rice (Meghan Baker) of Gig Harbor, WA, Bradford Gary Rice (Karen) of Jacksonville, FL, Clifton Thornton Rice of Morehead City, NC and Stanton Grant Rice of Kake, AK; his mother Barbara Parker Rice of High Point, NC; his brother Kerry Rice (Cindy) of High Point, NC; and his grandchildren, Addison and Willa.
