It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Lynn Guthrie of Newport, North Carolina, who passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Guthrie and Linda Guthrie; her grandparents, Ernest Andrew, Geneva Guthrie and Larry; and her nephew Mark Anthony.
She is survived by: her close friend Ken Sutton; her daughters, Kelsey Guthrie of Winterville and Kendall Sutton of Stella; her stepdaughters, Breanna Sutton of Stella and Kayla Holloway of Virginia Beach, VA; her siblings, Eddie Guthrie (Gisele) of Newport, Donald Guthrie (Darlene) of Newport, Minerva Guthrie Cannon (Joey) of Morehead City and Sheli Guthrie of Morehead City; her grandchild K'yonn; her siblings' children, Michael Guthrie (Alana), Jennifer James (Jontez), Stephanie Cannon (Tim), Brad Guthrie (Jessica), Joshua Cannon (Amanda), Lindsay Moore (Steven), Aaron Nix and Brandon Nix; and her close friends, Pepper McGill and Misty Bowen.
