He is survived by : his wife Janet West; his son Jeffrey West (Michelle) of Pennsylvania; his sisters, Brenda DeShong of Goldsboro, NC and Betty Bayles (Seamon) of Erwin, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy West of Dunn, NC and Kathy Combs of Arizona.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Erwin (300 S 12th St, Erwin, NC 28339). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
