She is survived by: her father Wallace Melvin Penland of Asheville, NC; her husband John H. Nelson III; her children, Cinnamon Young of Asheville, NC, Jodi Earle of Maggie Valley, NC and Gary Earle of Oregon; her brother Wade Penland of Maggie Valley, NC; her grandchildren, Tori Flowers, Dawson Young, Garren Young, Fallon Young, Ansili Young, Sophia Bulla and Gracie Dorsett; her great grandchild Leyton Flowers; and her pets, Rocky and Clem.
