He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Conner and Lura Conner; the mother of his children Gaynelle Simmons Conner; his former wife Lisa Drake Conner; and his sisters, Kathleen Temple and Florence Tolson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Wilson Brewer Conner; his children, Kerry Anne Conner-Briggs (Dale) of Vass, NC and Jay Conner (Carol Joy) of Newport, NC; his stepchildren, Karen "KaCy" Cekovsky of St. Lois, MO, Brette Best of Raleigh, NC, Clate Brewer (Devon) of Raleigh, NC and Chris Brewer (Kara) of Chapel Hill, NC; his grandchildren, Barrett-Anne Briggs and Emi Bigford (Dawson); and his stepgrandchildren, Brewer Best, Topher Best, Banks Brewer, Blythe Brewer, Caden Brewer and Lyla Brewer.
