She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Penny of Newport and Helen Penny; and her siblings, Rose McReynolds of Newport, David Penny of Newport, Daniel Penny of Newport and Bobby Penny of Newport.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lois Whaley of Newport, Rita Gaskins of New Bern and Frances Pitts of Georgia; her son Brian Kelly (Britni); and her granddaughter Isla Grace Kelly of Clayton, N. C.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Noe-Brooks Funeral Home (201 Professional Cir, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at the Gethsemane Memorial Park (700 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570).
