It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Barham Best of Newton Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Eldon Summerlin and Annie Lee Summerlin; her husbands, Franklin Barham and Everette Best; and her siblings, Jesse Summerlin, Larry Summerlin and Mary Cleo Edmundson.

She is survived by : her daughter Lisa Fikac; her son-in-law James Fikac, Jr.; her grandsons, James Fikac, III (Delia Fikac) and David Fikac (Allie Fikac); her great grandchildren, Tessa Fikac and Cody Fikac; her stepdaughter Denise Lupton; her stepson-in-law Doyle Lupton; her stepgrandson Michael Saunders; her stepgreat-grandson Rudy Wuthrrich; her stepdaughter Linda Hedspeth; and her stepson-in-law William Hedspeth. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
