He is survived by: his wife Janet Taylor Hayes; his children, Pattie Gail Bland (Kenneth), John Douglas Hayes, William Travis Hayes (Elaine) and Melissa Hayes Lara (Mark); his grandchildren, Matthew Bland (Kristy), Jeremey Bland (Pamela), Laura Stone (Skye), Heather Nunley (Michael), Jason Hayes (Shannon), Taylor Cates (Brice), Johnathan Lara (Melissa), Marcelina Huitron (Irwin) and Nicholas Lara; his great grandchildren, Chase Bland, Cooper Bland, Charleigh Bland, Madeline Bland, Mallory Bland, Kylie Stone, Collins Stone, Kyrie Nunley, Killian Nunley, Madison Hayes, Leighton Hayes, Tenille Hayes, Waylon Cates and Santiago Huitron; and his sister Betty Weeks of Morehead City.
