He is survived by : his children, John Altizer of Columbus, OH., Elva Jane Alziter Barton (William) of Newton, Jessica Altizer of Beckley, WV and Edith Faye Altizer of Logan, WV.; his brother George Altizer; his spouse Roger Altizer of Pineville, WV.; his sister Louise Carothers of Pineville, WV.; his grandchildren, William, Jonathan Barton, Tyler, Brandi Lunceford, Alicia House, Dwight and James Dempsey; and his foster children, Frazier and Linda.
