She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Johnson and Annie Mae Brown Turner; her husband Herbert Allen Mitchell Sr.; her sons, Dennis Alvin Mitchell and Mario Anthony Mitchell; and her siblings, Pearl Connelly, Robert Turner Jr., Wilbert Turner, Albert Turner and Martha Farris.
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Allen Mitchell Jr. (Dana) of Hickory, NC, Patricia Mitchell Graves of Lawrenceville and Regina Mitchell Taylor (Terry) of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (340 1st St SW, Hickory, NC 28602). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
