He was predeceased by: his parents, John Beard and Susie Williams Beard; his wife Doris Anne Ross Beard; and his siblings, Brather Beard, Rimmer Baird, Klutz Beard, Yates Beard, Truitt Beard, Jerry Baird, Harold Baird, Velma Williams, Neta Parker and Annie Parker.
He is survived by: his children, Joel Beard (Pam) of Maiden, Phillip Beard (Robin) of Maiden and Martha Brown (Bill) of Conover; his grandchildren, Dr. Blair Brown (Jennifer), Dr. Daniel Brown (Katy Reines), Andrew Beard, Jordan Beard and Allison Beard; and his great grandchildren, Gannon Brown and Decker Brown. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church (3273 Mt Ruhama Church Rd, Maiden, NC 28650). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
