We bid farewell to Burl Edward Pitman (Newton, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 10, 2025 at the age of 78. Burl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dura Virgil and Lela Mae Pitman (Gouge); and his sister Judy Kay Pitman Lail. He is survived by: his wife Linda Marie Pitman; his son Shane; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Pitman; his grandchildren, Mitchell Pitman (Kaitlyn) and Courtney Pennell (Christopher); his great grandchildren, Maya and Holly Pennell; and his brother Gray Henry Pitman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burke Mortuary & Crematory of Newton (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658).
