She was predeceased by : her parents, Toy Ward Pennell and Velva Irene Pennell; her husband Gerald Edward Rowlett; and her brother Edwin Pennell. She is survived by : her stepson Terry Joe Rowlett (Brenda) of Gilbert, Arizona; her siblings, Rita Piche of Hamburg, Pennsylvania and Tommy Pennell (Alesia) of Taylorsville; her aunt Bonnie Simms; and her brother-in-law Michael Rowlett (Betty) of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 4:00 PM at 185 6th St SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
