He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Woodard Helms; his children, Johnathan Reid Helms and Angel Helms Gross (Billy); his grandson Lucas Gross; his siblings, Teresa Watts Moore (Tim), Davil Helms Harris (Terry) and Bobby Helms (Teresa); and his sister-in-law Linda Sue Helms.
