He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Preach and Myrtle Shuford; his grandparents, James, Ella Shuford, Edgar and Sallie Ramseur; his daughter Nikki Shuford; his granddaughter Monisha Caldwell; and his siblings, Ray, Charles Jr. Shuford and Thelma Shuford.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Shuford Jr. of Asheville, NC, Patrick Shuford of Charlotte, NC, Latoya Caldwell of Statesville, NC and Shayna Rippy of Winston-Salem, NC; and his siblings, Harold Shuford (Ruth), Paul Shuford (Alease) and Mary Braddy (Oliver).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Willis Reynolds Funeral Home (56 Northwest Blvd, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
