He is survived by: his wife Betty Yoder Hammett; his daughters, Tina Filip (Robert) of Newton, Tonya Byrd (Terry) of Bethlehem and Heather Hammett; his grandsons, Derrick Filip (Brittney) of Simpsonville, SC, Jared Filip (Emilee Elliott) of Statesville, NC, Blake Sharpe of Bethlehem and Landon Hammett; his great grandchildren, McKenna Grace Filip and Everett Filip of Simpsonville, SC.; and his siblings, Nell Buchanan (Dean) of Denver, NC, Estelle McKinney of Atlanta, GA, Anne Wilson (Roger) of Denver, NC and John Hammett (Glenda) of Newton.
