With profound sadness, we say goodbye to George Pope of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He is survived by: his wife Tina Laws Pope; his children, Scott Pope (Tonya) of Newton, Jeffrey Pope (Chloe) of Newton, Sherry Conner (Tim) of Newton and Amy Clemmons (Jeff) of Newton; his grandchildren, Kyle Conner (Randie), Matthew Pope, Dylan Pope, Luke Clemmons, Isabella Pope, Noah Clemmons, Finley Pope and Gabriella Pope; his great grandchild Haislee Pope; and his pet Riley.
A reception will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658).
