It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Cora Bita (Newton, North Carolina), who passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Costica George Bita; her parents, Archibald Helton and Ideal Helton; and her siblings, Hubert, Herschel, Anna "Jimmie", Ed Helton and Betty Barrett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Bita (Melina) of Conover, NC and Michelle Konczyk (Brian) of Des Plaines, IL; her grandchildren, Terriona Helton and Brandon Konczyk; and her sister Elizabeth Barrett of Honaker, VA..
