He was predeceased by: his parents, Parks C. Harris and Alene Robinson Harris; and his brothers, Toby Harris, Jim Harris, Hal C. Harris and David Harris.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Kirby Harris; his children, Joel Brian Harris (Corie) of Newton and Laura Jo Harris Smith (Jesse) of Maiden; his sister Joy Harris of Newton; his grandchildren, Carson Harris, Walker Harris, Sawyer Jo Smith and Silas Smith; and his brother Bill Harris (Lannette Chuck HarrisA).
