He was predeceased by: his parents, Randall Childers and Glenda Medlin Childers. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Childers (Kayla Fisher) of Raleigh and Christina Nix (Danny) of Greensboro; and his brother Todd Childers of Hickory.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (4536 Hickory Lincolnton Hwy, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
