With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Lee Gross (Newton, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 90. In the vast expanse of eternity, Norma Lee shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Norma Lee farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carnel Walker and Girty Cook Walker; her husband Fred; and her sons, Billy Joe Gross and Michael Ray Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Whitener (Freddie Whitener Sr.) of Vale, Roger Walker of Newton, Dean Walker (Debra) of Vale and Jerry Gross (Tina) of Hickory; and her siblings, Terry Walker of Casar, NC, Irene Ledford of Casar and Evelyn Hess of Shelby. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
