With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul Robert Dickinson Sr. (Newton, North Carolina), born in New Bern, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Swindell and Mildred Grace (Whitehurst); and his brothers, Frederick, Jr. and Charles Francis. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Melinda Dickinson (Moore); his stepson Daniel York (Paul); his son Dirk; his daughter-in-law Ada; his grandchildren, Danielle, Leigh Anne (Sidney), Spencer and Logan; his grandson-in-law Andrew; his great grandchildren, Luca and Levi; his pet Lucky; Pedro, Selena and Amber.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.
