He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patsy" Murphy York; his children, Reginald Terry "Butch" York Jr. (Connie) of Newton, Shane Hill (Cassie) of Conover, Richard Todd York of Bayboro, John Lee York (Michele) of Hickory, Regina "Gina" York of Hartsville, TN and Lisa York of Conover; his grandchildren, Ricci Hefner-Spizzo, Rodney York, Ethan Hill, Kaylee Hill Burleson (Jon), Cooper Hill and Paislee Hill; and his great grandchildren, Haley Adams Graham, Cody A. Hefner, Landon B. Poteat and Lucas Wayne Burleson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658).
