It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Glenn Sumpter of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Sumpter and Virginia Shuford Christopher; his wife Margaret Sumpter; and his son Glenn Sumpter. He is survived by: his daughter Amie Bristow; his grandchildren, Patrick Bristow and Amber Bristow; his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Cora and Christopher; and his half-siblings, Steve Christopher and Regina Walker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring in Robert's name.
