He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Harlen Shook and Jenny Leona Hedrick Shook. He is survived by: his sons, Alvin Shook (Ashlee) of Vale and Ashley Shook of Newton; his brother Jerry Shook (Debby) of Morganton; and his grandchildren, Bryson Shook, Adreyan Bernard, Emileigh Bernard, Liam Shook, Axl Shook and Dahlia Shook.
