Suma Hicks Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Suma Hicks of Newton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Suma left this world on October 29, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chaunce Bumgarner and Sadie Deal Bumgarner; and her daughter Karen Wike. She is survived by: her children, Mitzi Ledford (Wayne) of Newton, Michelle Beshara (Chris) of Newton and Rev. Bill Orren (Sherrie) of Taylorsville; her grandchildren, Daniel Neil Orren (Belinda), Joey Beshara, Zack Orren (Parker), Josh Bradshaw and Khoury Beshara; Bill Orren. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Millersville Baptist Church (130 Millersville Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
