It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tony Edward Henry of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Gaither Ramseur; and his siblings, Ronnie Henry, Peggy Chilsom and Darlene Henry. He is survived by: his mother Helen Henry of Newton; his siblings, Steve Henry (Sharon) of Newton, Dennis Henry, Rush Henry Jr. (Teresa) of Hickory, Gary Henry of Newton, Geraldine Halloway of Maryland and Terry Connor of Maiden; and his children, Xavier Henry of Lenoir, Romello Henry of Hickory, Teresse Bess of Lincolnton, Kriston Miles of Hickory and Tonique Bowers of Fort Mill, SC. He is also survived by Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren, A number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. James AME Zion (501 South D. Dave Avenue, Maiden, NC 28650). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. James AME Zion Church (501 South D. Dave Avenue, Maiden, NC).
