He is survived by: his daughters, Dasha Wharton of Norlina and Deonca Wharton of Norlina; his brothers, Bruce Wharton (Amy) of Norlina and Arthur Wharton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his aunts, Patricia Williams, Mary Jones, Gladys Williams and Blanche Williams; his uncle Howard Williams; and his brother-in-law Oliver Alexander. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates, coworkers and friends.
