We bid farewell to Daniel Waln of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 16, 2025 at the age of 34. Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Waln; his uncles, Ronald Waln and Steven Waln; and his cousin Bree Waln Dolinger.
He is survived by: his mother Kim Marie Waln; his aunts, Terry Hodges (Mike) and Janet Waln; his uncle David Waln; and his cousins, Kristen Hodges, Lonnie Hodges, Bobby Hodges (Amanda), Eldalynn McNeill (Boo), Alaina McNeill (Bam Bam), Devyn, Eden, Zoe, Harley, Malachi, Silas Hodges, Kevin McAbee, Candace McAbee-Johnson, Donte, Troy, Pierce and Roman Waln.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Daniel Waln Scholarship Fund at Ashe County High School c/o Brian Hampton.
